Albany attorney Laura M. Jordan has been appointed as vice president of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association (CDTLA) for 2018, the Upstate New York personal injury law firm of Powers & Santola, LLP, announced today.
Jordan’s appointment as vice president follows her term as treasurer of the CDTLA, an organization that serves as a resource for practicing personal injury attorneys in the greater Albany region. The CDTLA is an accredited provider of continuing legal education (CLE) seminars, with a concentration on personal injury topics.
Jordan is a partner in Powers & Santola where her practice focuses on catastrophic injuries with a specific concentration on medical malpractice and delayed diagnosis of cancer. Jordan has practiced with Powers & Santola since 2004.
She is a member of other professional organizations such as the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Women’s Bar Association, and the Albany County Bar Association.
Jordan has received a number of professional honors and awards, including recognition from Best Lawyers in America, Upstate New York Super Lawyers, The National Trial Lawyers, and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. She also received the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the Albany Law School National Alumni Association, her alma mater. Jordan has published a number of articles and taught many classes and seminars on topics related to the profession.
